From New Line Cinema, Peter Jackson and Warner Bros. comes J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit, brought to the big screen in an epic trilogy. Weta Workshop was thrilled to return to Middle-earth once again, contributing design, specialty props and specialty costumes to the three films.

Parchment Art Print
(W x H x L) 75 cm x 54 cm x 0.1 cm
Weight: 0.22 lbs (0.1 kg)

From Michel Delving in the West to Bucklebury in the East, from Greenfields in the North to Sackville in the South, Daniel Reeve's map plots all the familiar places in the four farthings of the Shire. It shows the way to places like Tuckborough, Frogmorton, Brockenboring and Tooksbank. It helps you choose whether to cross the Brandywine on the bridge or by the Bucklebury Ferry.

All annotated in helpful fashion by one Bilbo Baggins of Hobbiton in the West Farthing.

The original prop for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was designed and drawn by Daniel Reeve of the 3Foot7 Art Department.

Our authentic prop replicas and collectibles are created by the very same artists who have worked on the three films, so effectively they come straight from Middle-earth.

Richard Taylor - CEO & Co-founder, Weta Workshop

Weta's map of the Shire has been made from a scan of the original map and printed in Middle-earth (New Zealand) on the finest Italian Marina Conchiglia parchment paper.

Map of the Shire - Parchment Art Print is a gorgeous print with die-cut edges to add to the authenticity.

  2. Ohh the shire <3
I have this beautifully framed against a green felt with a dark oak frame. But i remember how gently i had to hold the map and how fragile it is. Truly a magnificent replica of the real map.

  4. map of the shire (get it now!)
first I would like to say I live in the USA (Michigan)and it was shipped from NZ which makes it all the more awesome right from the original factory! But about the art it is 100% exquisite!!!! Hell my daughter who thinks I am a LOTR/Hobbit freak!!! mentioned how lovely it was and found a place in our house so all could enjoy seeing it! Love it, Great job Weta! also last thing perfect shipping tube so absolutely 100% no damage could happen to this excellent piece of work! It will be in my family for a life time, just have to find an old word frame now to match its quality and look of age! Thanks!

  5. Excellent
This map is just as it should be, with exquisite detail, and the bucolic charm that the Shire should have. The additions of Bilbo's favourite walks really makes it feel used and loved. It is quite a dark colour as you would expect from a parchment effect print, so needs displaying under a spot, or in plenty of natural light

  6. A beautiful map.
I have to say that the map is gorgeous when matted and framed and I'm so pleased with it on my wall. I'm also impressed with the speedy delivery and more than reasonable shipping cost. I'll be making all my Hobbit purchases from Weta from now on.
