    Deep within the heart of Mount Doom, where the heat of the flame saturates the air, thick like the very magma it erupts from, lies the Dark Lord's forge: Sammath Naur. Here, within the Cracks of Doom, Sauron wove his dark magic to craft a weapon from the very fires of the earth itself—a weapon meant to dominate all of Middle-earth.

    With rings bestowed upon various rulers and leaders of the land, including Dwarves, Elves, and Men, Sauron melded his very essence into the One Ring, aiming to exert his influence over the others. The Ring served as both a tool and an extension of the Dark Lord himself, a vessel of his power, and a conduit for his eternal will.

    Sauron is an Open Edition piece, meaning it is not restricted to a specific number of reproductions. However, this does not guarantee Wētā Workshop will continue to produce the statue in the future. We recommend purchasing your Open Edition statue early to avoid disappointment.       Sauron looks amazing, great design, great pose, great detail. Now i always handle my miniatures with care but when i grabbed sauron to move him the knife in his hand broke right off. I dont know if i was to rough or the blade was too tiny to be built good. A little disappointed

      Bought this because i love lotr since 2000 and I when i grew up and started working i wanted to buy lotr stuff but couldnt due to irl stuff, and now when everything is done I could finally buy legit Lotr products.
      I'm super happy with how well done the sauron figure turned out to be, and I'm 100% gonna buy more later on in the year.

      I've been to Wellington last year and I visited the Weta Cave, where they have the full sized, original armour worn by Sauron (I think it was an animatronic), which was by far one of the best pieces on display. They don't allow any photos to be taken, much to my exasperation (althought I touched it, sue me), but I remember noticing the intrincate details of the carving in the breastplate (probably made with acid), the leather harnesseses of the gauntlets, the sharp edges of the pauldron, the texture of the cape's fabric. I was pleasantly surprised when I first analysed my statue and saw many of the same details I had noticed in the original, true to their original colour and with an impressive simulation of even the fabric elements. This statue sits at my shelf guarding my 30 volumes large Tolkien collection. Sauron holding the ring of power is just a perfect centrepiece that summarises the epicness of the books next to him. Beautiful piece.

      This statue looks absolutely perfect, only because of this I now understand how much gold, Dark Lords had to spend on his suit of armor.
      Detail is just so good, and pose is perfect, this is first mini statue I have where character looks up, triumphant, just finishing his greatest creation, with the ring in his hand, this looks amazing on desk level head level and in between position, so you can place it anywhere.
      He is surprisingly light, I think twice as light as Nazgul which is funny.

      Issues:
      - He could be larger, to fit lore wise a bit better with the rest, price increase would be justified
      - He comes as statue and stand connected with pin, I would prefer 1 piece but understand why they did it this way
      - There is no matching Witch King as his right hand, and Gandalf the White as his arch enemy and orchestrator of his downfall
      - It would be very nice to consider creating mini epic Mace (just like you have Helm's Deep busting mine for Saruman), so this could be placed in front of Sauron, he looks to lightly armed, what If some crazy wizard jumps on him and he has just that dagger?

      Overall, the best Mini statue from Weta so far, looks absolutelly stunning

      I am really happy with this piece. Arrived very quick and looks amazing. Perfect height for a display item as it doesn't take up much room. Extremely detailed and really love the blue hints in the armor. Worth it for the price!
