In the heart of the ancient city of Minas Tirith stood a small unit of guards, resolute and vigilant, like a steadfast pillar of Gondorian valour. Clad in gleaming armour, they stood beside the long thought dead White Tree of Gondor, a symbol of a thriving bygone era, and an emblem of lingering hope, awaiting the return of their king.

The Fountain Guard's watchful eyes scanned the horizon, ever on the lookout for any sign of danger. Silent and steadfast, for silk wrapped their faces as a reminder of their oath, he stood there, a sentinel of the realm, keeping a watchful eye over the White Tree.

In this moment of stillness, the Fountain Guard became a living testament to the bravery of Gondor's defenders, past and present. As long as he stood, unwavering and resolute, the heart of Gondor would continue to beat, undaunted and unbroken, against the tides of adversity.

Whenever you look at each collectible, for me, it just plunges me back, twenty plus years, to the day we may have been dressing this on to the actor, or test fitting it in the workshop, or frantically trying to get it ready for the shoot. Quite often, things would be made in the last minutes before we were filming, and this was one character that certainly fit that bill.

To celebrate upcoming 20th anniversary of The Lord of The Rings™, the team at Wētā Workshop have created a special line of polystone statues featuring Middle-earth’s major characters in their signature pose and clothing.

The Classic Series is Open Edition and has been tailor made to fit beautifully on your shelf.

Images are of a pre-production prototype. Each piece is hand painted and some variations may occur.

This figure is an Open Edition piece, meaning it is not restricted to a specific number of reproductions. However, this does not guarantee Wētā Workshop will continue to produce the statue in the future. We recommend purchasing your Open Edition statue early to avoid disappointment. Should you miss out, please contact us at support@Wētā Demand will determine if this collectible is reproduced.

Please note: You may see a number on your shipping carton that says "0123/1,000" - this is just the serial number of your piece in its particular production run and does not mean it's a limited edition.

  1. Absolutely flawless
This is my first statue from Weta and although I knew it would be amazing because I've been an LOTR fanboy for over 20 years now, I was not prepared for just how awesome this thing is, so grand and majestic it will stand proudly on my desk, I just hope I can get a second one!

My first 1:6 scale item from Weta, and certainly not the last. What a piece of art this is. I cannot recommend it enough - it looks magnificent in person and has such presence.

  4. 10/10 and better than I’d hoped for…
The scale is grand enough to display and still packed full of detail from the eyes that are glossed which give a shine effect, to the back of the robes which are completely hidden under the cape yet still detailed and painted! The Fountain court guard were always my favourite solider and I cannot be happier to actually have a statue of one in real life! Thanks WETA
