Scattered among the grassy hills of Hobbiton like a purse full of lost coins, the bright round doors of many dozen hobbit-holes shine in bright, summery hues, each home to a Hobbit or family of the little people.

As diverse as the rosy-cheeked Hobbits themselves, every smial, as hobbit-holes are known, reflects the unique personality of its inhabitant and nestles into the hillside amid a sea of lush greenery.

Turning right out of his front gate would lead Mister Bilbo Baggins past the entrance of number 36 Bagshot Row, the pretty, blue-doored home of one of Hobbiton’s most enthusiastic flower gardeners, with its front yard full of pots of colourful blooms.

Because of the relationship we have with all the production parts of the process, we have access to everything from concept drawings to set plans, which is really handy when making things like the Hobbit Holes.

Leonard Ellis - Sculptor & Model Maker, Wētā Workshop

Each an individual dwelling, the Hobbit holes lend themselves splendidly to creative placement in your cabinet. With a flat back and shallow depth of only 55mm, they can be placed on mantles, cornices, shelves and in windows.

This gorgeous little environment is an exacting miniature replica of the movie set that can be visited at Hobbiton in Matamata, New Zealand. It was designed by the same artists and craftspeople who worked on the movie.

36 Bagshot Row is an Open Edition piece. Please note: This miniature environment was designed and prototyped here at the Workshop. Images are of a pre-production prototype. Each piece is hand painted and slight variations will occur.

  1. My favorite Hobbit Hole
This is by far my favorite Hobbit Hole. The colors, many details and this one has the best door of them all. If you can only have a few, this is a must have.

  2. Wow!
Not my first Hobbit Hole but hafta say this one is mind-blowing not only w. the paint shades, but very clean, perfect paint - very, very, very neatly done, every one of the little flowers. It\'s incredible. Simply a gorgeous hobbit hole!

It\'s so sad when I see pieces sold out. Will there be more to complete the collection?

  4. My first Hobbit hole
My first hobbit hole and my first weta statue. I love it. So beautiful, so much loving detail... I'm so happy with it!

I knew this piece would be small when I ordered it but when I opened the box I was AMAZED at how much detail there is and all the nooks and crannies to look at! I went right back online and ordered the other 3! All of the flowers are brightly painted (more so than Bag End and that is a beautiful piece as well) and every blade of grass shows. You can even see the individual lines on each plank of wood in the door. Move me in! Well done WETA, PLEASE MAKE MORE! I can't wait to set up my display and start my own Hobbiton.

  6. Wonderful details
This latest in the hobbit houses is delightful. The door and flower details are a bright turquoise. Very nice piece!
