In the shadows of the Castle of the Crystal a dark and terrible discovery has been made. Entrusted with guardianship of the great Crystal itself, the Skeksis have abused their power and the Gelflings in their service. Under the direction of the Emperor, skekSo, the Crystal’s lifegiving properties have been cruelly exerted by the Skeksis to stretch their own vain lives.
The Emperor will stop at nothing to preserve the absolute power upon which he thrives. When word of the Skeksis’ betrayal escapes, he puts into effect a vicious and far-reaching plan. Gelfling clans are pitted against one another and the Skeksis plot against their peers, but is there an even darker secret underpinning the cunning Emperor’s schemes?

SPECIAL BASE DESIGN The three different sized circular bases across our 1:6 scale Dark Crystal range represent the Three Suns in the skies of Thra; the dying sun, rose sun, and great sun. Familiar iconography from the floor of the Crystal Chamber are featured around the outside. Spy the symbols of the urSkek, which have since been appropriated as signs of discord and Skeksis aggression.
These collectibles were a dream to art direct. I feel like a Skeksis sitting at the banquet table, ready to feast on the amazing opportunities before me. There is so much to choose from!

OUR DARK CRYSTAL COLLECTIBLES
So rich and visionary was Jim Henson’s 1982 passion project that it inspired dreamers across the creative arts, including a whole generation of film effects artists now working at Wētā Workshop. Released at a time when many of our crew were young and beginning to explore their own creative energies, The Dark Crystal was an eye-opener: it was possible to bring imaginary worlds to life, and it could be a career! For years, those of us who had fallen in love with this world hoped that someday Thra might return to our screens. Thanks to Netflix, it has, and now we have the chance to express our fandom by creating super faithful, highly detailed collectible figures and prop replicas from TheDark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

After sitting in my display case. I have noticed that his fingers on the back have broke off. No one had touched him. I figure the poly stone has not cured properly and the shrinking has made him break.

I am EMPEROR!!
Defeating the \"whimpering worm\" in the Trial by stone, Skekso is now the new \"Emperor\" - yielding the scepter, he rules gloriously but still grotesque, his deformed body hidden by his royal robes.
Truly magnificent piece. Loaded with detail and color. Definitely comes to life under the proper lighting. If you can find one, grab it - definitely worth every penny.

I will never be dust!
A hallmark Dark Crystal character and figure. This statue captures the ornate grandeur, iron will and intrinsically horrifying greed for eternal life that is all part of Skekso.
The scepter of the emperor Skeksis and the pose really fit Skekso’s station as lord of the lords! I always wondered how Skekso would look and what his attire would be like in his prime after seeing the movie. After nearly forty years we see. And without any disappointment in Skekso’s return or in this incredible rendition!

A dark gift
This is a meticulously detailed 1/6 statue of the sharpminded emperor Skekso for those who can appreciate his unique and grotesque character. It comes in 4 separate parts: His body on the base, 2 separate hands (left one holding a stab) that slide in via pegs into the (female) armslots and a charismatic head which plugs into the (female) neck with a strong magnet. Each part fits in well after gentle adjustment without any visible seamlines. The paintjob is very accurate as seen in the prototype pictures, highlighting even the smaller details like teeth, fabrics of the coat and metallic knuckle protectors on his fingers and beak flawlessly.He stands tall and stable, looking out with a captivating laughter.
Made out of enduring polystone with a decent weight of over 5 kg and limited to only 400 pieces this is a true gem amongst Jim Henson’s original creations that found a way into collectors domiciles. Congratulations to Weta and their team.

Skeksis Eternal Hail to the Emperor!
A truly spectacular replica of the Skeksis Leader! everything from the colours to the detail and proportions is spot on! skekSo\'s expression and posture perfectly portrays his never ending thirst for power and control. I can\'t wait to have skekTek the Scientist by his side and I hope to see skekSil the Chamberlain and skekLach the Collector added to the figurine line soon.

Brilliant
utterly sad I had to give up mine so someone lucky out there might be able to snag a order. It\'s fantastically detailed, wonderful for any life long fan of, Dark Crystal. I really admire all the people who got the figure. I would love to do a round table review of each Dark Crystal figure on my youtube channel one day. :-( so sad, you guys are very lucky!
