Wētā Workshop is thrilled to be exploring another world from the mind of Jim Henson, this time bringing you high-quality collectibles from the iconic 1986 film Labyrinth. A careless wish sees a young girl’s baby brother taken away by the mystical Goblin King. The endless walls of the Labyrinth continue on for what seem like an eternity. Though the infinite depths may seem quite lifeless at first glance, things are not always what they seem, for many a quaint and curious creature can be found within those stony walls.

The mysterious denizens of Labyrinth come in all shapes and sizes, and each is just as likely to help as they are to hinder. As Sarah collapses from exhaustion whilst seeking an entrance to the maze, a small but cheery voice calls out to her, “Ello.”

A single worm, small enough to fit in the palm of one’s hand, with three tufts of dark blue hair rests near a small hole in the Labyrinth’s walls. After offering a moment of brief respite to our young heroine and a promise of hospitality that is rarely shared among strangers, this inconspicuous creature reveals one of the Labyrinth’s many hidden secrets, opening Sarah’s eyes to the first of many illusions to come.

Ask almost any sculptor, costumer, or creature-maker at Wētā Workshop about Labyrinth and they’ll always list it among their favourite films. Many will tell you it’s the reason they do what they do. The creative vision of Jim Henson and his team was so fresh, so imaginative, and so fun that it inspired a generation. The chance to celebrate that world by making Labyrinth collectibles is a dream come true for many of us. It’s a joy to be able to indulge our passion for Labyrinth and get lost in its wonders every day!

Please note: images are of a pre-production prototype. Each sculpture is hand painted and minor variations will occur.

It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new collectible piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment, or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.

  1. Small but Nice
    Quality
    100%
It was quite smaller than I was thinking(I'm also bad at math) so I do wish he was slightly bigger and maybe could use a bit more vibrant in paint job but that's just my personal preference-still looks wonderful and a great addition to my collection!!!
