Weta's return to Middle-earth and specifically to polystone collectibles from The Lord Of The Rings is celebrated with a truly iconic piece. It continues on from previous environments that have been popular with collectors the world over.
The big difference this time is that the edition size is a mere 500.
The Argonath will be shipped world wide!
Mightiest river of Middle-earth, the great Anduin winds its way south along the eastern flank of the Misty Mountains toward the sea. As the Fellowship makes its way down river in their Elven boats they are awed by the sight of the mighty Argonath. Long ago carved from the rocky hillsides upon either bank, these towering statues of the ancient Kings Elendil and his son Isildur stand with arms raised in warning to travellers from the north. For Aragorn it is a moment long sought, to look upon the carved faces of his kinsmen of old and the glory of ancient Gondor they represent.

And now I can look upon them everyday! This is one of the environments fans have long waited for. It's certainly an iconic scene worthy of the full environment treatment. I was not going to pre-order this initially considering I already owned the Argonath bookends that came with the extended edition DVDs, but I'm glad I changed my mind! This piece sold out at Weta, and it has already more than doubled its value in the used market! It has reached grail status almost as soon as it started shipping. The piece itself is very well sculpted and I couldn't ask for a better factory paint job on my copy. The size is perfect. Small enough to display without space issues, but large enough to stand out and catch your eye as well. Simply put, this environment captures the monumental scene from the film superbly. Considering the overall presentation and editon size, Weta has hit a home run with this environment. Thank you! Now bring on Bag End, Prancing Pony and Rivendell! Hide.

The additional cliffface, the different position of the axe, and the miniscule boats all make this so much better than the original version that came with the Fellowship dvds. Hide.

that it was Peter Jacksons decision to make it Isildur and Elendil for the movies as audiences wouldn't know who Anarion is :-)
I'm so happy this can be finally released, as it was meant to be seen, rather than hacked to pieces for a dvd box-set! Hide.
