The Dwarves of the Iron Hills were a tough people; courageous, indomitable and canny in the working of ore they mined from the ranges in which they dwelt. Thick-bladed axes they wrought, and armour, hard and expertly fitted. All among their army bore iron helms, but the grandest was saved for their king, Dain Ironfoot.

Fashioned after a boar, a crest rose high above the bowl of Dain’s helm, maned with red and black quills that shone beneath the sun. From its cheeks curled bladed tusks. Of great weight was the king’s helm, but Dwarves made light of such burdens, and in truth the bone of Dain’s skull was every bit as thick. Even helmetless he could render senseless Orcs twice his size with a swift head butt.

Our authentic prop replicas and collectibles are designed by the very same artists who have worked on the three films, so effectively they come straight from Middle-earth.

Behind-the-Scenes on The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies

Please note: images are of a pre-production prototype. Each sculpture is hand painted and minor variations will occur.

Weta Workshop’s high-quality Middle-earth collectibles are designed by the very same artists and technicians who work on our movies. It takes 400-500 hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.

  3. Dain Ironfoot\'s Helmet
I am blown away with the amount of detail they were able to fit into this amazing piece. The stand the helmet sits on has a nice weight and it comes well packaged with a helpful booklet with all the collectible helmets that weta have made. Weta did a great job on capturing all the little details from the hobbit movie. I would highly recommend this piece to any hobbit fan.

  4. Beautiful Helm but...
Since I have nearly all the first line (only missing the crown of the Witchking) , I can say that although the new helms do look great, I sincerely wish they were made of the same type of polystone used for the first line which to me looked and felt a lot more realistic. The paint and details on the Dain Ironfoot helm are beatiful, my main concern for this helm is the scale... It seems huge for a dwarf helm. It is colossal compared to Gimli\'s helm, and still really big even compared to regular helms (at least as big if not bigger than the helms from the Rohan or Gondor...)
