OUR STORY

For more than 27 years, Weta Workshop has created creatures, characters, and entire worlds for the screen – all from our home in Wellington, New Zealand. For a mammoth seven years, we helped to bring The Lord of the Rings to life, crafting thousands of props, costumes, weapons, armour, and miniatures! We’ve worked on some of the world’s coolest movies like Avatar and King Kong, and even picked up five Academy Awards along the way. We’re a busy bunch.

OUR COLLECTIBLES

When The Fellowship of the Ring landed in 2001, we weren’t about to let the world of Middle-earth stop at the screen. We set about bringing it to shelves, cabinets, and table tops across the globe! Channelling all that passion and artistry into beautiful statues, these amazing pieces were designed by the same Weta Workshop artists who work on our film projects. And it is still that way today.

OUR MIDDLE-EARTH MINI EPICS

15 years on, fans’ insatiable hunger for all things Middle-earth shows no sign of slowing. Which got us here at the Workshop thinking: what else could we do to bring this EPIC world to collectors and film lovers across the globe? The answer: cool and quirky vinyl collectibles, straight from Middle-earth itself. MINI EPICS!

Endlessly collectible. Totally adorable. These pint-sized figures have BIG personalities. And we’re only just getting started…

  1. What a likeness!
    Quality
    100%
For a Mini Epic, Galadriel's expression really captures her true mystique. The detailing on the dress is amazing. The colouring is perfect. This has to be one of Weta's best Mini Epics.

  2. Great Miniature Statue!
I just received mine yesterday and she is perfect! I love the stylized look to the Mini Epic and the expression on her face perfectly reflects Cate Blanchett\'s depiction of Galadriel. I can\'t wait to get my Gandalf the White Mini Epic this Christmas!

  3. Absolutely gorgeous.
I must admit, as I watched few unpacking videos available in the network, I became concerned about details and quality in this one.
But that was totally unnecessary - Galadriel is wonderful, just as we know her, and carefully crafted to capture both the character\'s authenticity and Cate Blanchett\'s likeness. I especially appreciate the decision to lengthen her hair, which is totally beautiful and true to the character, as well as the textures and shapes of her dress.

I would also like to make a suggestion (and a request, really) to make another Mini-Epics figure for Dark Queen Galadriel - for those of us, who missed the opportunity to order the full-scale figure or lacks the resources for it. It would mean a world to me and to many other fans of Weta-workshop craftsmanship, I\'m sure of it!

Thank You for this work of art and I hope, that my collection will grow with time!

  4. Nice details but the colour of the hair is off
The details on this piece are brilliant and I really love the dress! Paintwork is otherwise immaculate but the hair has a greenish tint to it which makes it look pretty much brown all around. The first one I received actually had notable green spots all around the hair and I got a replacement but even that one still had a slight greenish hue to the hair with some notable green stains here and there. Not sure if it\'s intended but definitely seems like a common issue. I hope that I\'m just unlucky and it\'s actually a rare occurrence.

  5. My favorite Mini Epic
Mauro Santini has captured Cate Blanchett as Galadriel perfectly. If you buy only one LOTR/Hobbit Mini Epic this is the one! Well done Mauro, thank you.

  6. She's perfect
Picked her up the other day and I'm absolutely delighted with her. She looks even more beautiful in person than in the photos. Her dress has a pearlescent sheen and her expression is just perfect. Thanks Weta for another beautiful piece!

  7. Beautifully detailed!
I really like how they really sculpted and painted the gown of this character. I like how they captured her smile which is quite extraordinary in film. This has to be one of my favorite in my list

  8. Capturing Cate
I feel like Cate is harder to capture than Lee or Astin, but they pulled it off in a cartoon style that allows her to fit in with the other characters but still maintain an elven wisdom!

  9. Galadriel Shines
This is very recognisably Cate\'s Galadriel. She is gorgeous. Her face and expression are lovely and very well painted. The details on her Dress and the jug are beautifully done. She is quite stable without her stand. The colours are just right, although her hair is quite a darker gold than the prototype. Excellent paint job overall.
A couple of minor quibbles: her hair dosen\'t quite sit snugly on the left side of her temple, though this is only noticeable close up. Also, it\'s a bit disappointing that she isn\'t wearing Nenya on her beautifully delicate finger, but I can see how it would have been difficult given the scale.
This is my second favourite Mini Epic after Frodo, and bares the closest resemblance to the actor playing the role so far. Great quality!

  10. Galadriel Mini Epic
Like the other Mini Epics, Cate Blanchett\'s quizzical look and teasing smile are captured perfectly in this stylized figure. The details on this one in particular are fantastic!
