Wētā Workshop is excited to dive into the world of Thra and create premium collectibles for the prequel series, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, which tells a new story, set many years before the events of the 1982 movie. When three Gelfling uncover the horrific truth behind the power of the Skeksis, the fires of rebellion are kindled and an epic battle for survival begins.
Youngest daughter of All-Maudra Mayrin, Princess Brea was spared the duties of an heir in training: those responsibilities falling upon eldest sister Seladon. Where her middle sister Tavra took up the sword to become a warrior, Brea’s insatiable curiosity propelled her into more academic pursuits.
Brea’s freedom often set her at odds with duty-bound Seladon, who begrudged their mother’s indulgence and was frustrated by what she deemed Brea’s childlike naivety. When Brea’s thirst for knowledge lead her to a profound discovery, Seladon’s heart was hardened by jealousy and hurt. For beneath the very throne of the All-Maudra lay a secret that would shatter the Gelfling subservience to their Skeksis lords.
In the tumult that followed, Brea would find herself pitted against the wrathful Lords of the Crystal, forced to flee her home and be labelled a traitor in the wake of unimaginable tragedy. Despite pain and loss, she would rebuild bonds of love and rise to fight for Thra.

A NOTE ON OPEN EDITION COLLECTIBLES

Crafting Collectibles from The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance
OUR DARK CRYSTAL COLLECTIBLES
So rich and visionary was Jim Henson’s 1982 passion project that it inspired dreamers across the creative arts, including a whole generation of film effects artists now working at Wētā Workshop. Released at a time when many of our crew were young and beginning to explore their own creative energies, The Dark Crystal was an eye-opener: it was possible to bring imaginary worlds to life, and it could be a career! For years, those of us who had fallen in love with this world hoped that someday Thra might return to our screens. Thanks to Netflix, it has, and now we have the chance to express our fandom by creating super faithful, highly detailed collectible figures and prop replicas from TheDark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
And this is just the beginning! More Dark Crystal collectibles are coming soon.
the details are breathtaking, she looks just like the real puppet!!!

Beautiful art
I just received Brea today and although I very much admired the piece when I pre-ordered it, it\'s even more beautiful to experience in-hand. The details in the scuplt are incredible. The subtlety in the use of colour is just amazing. It feels like the artists that worked on this cared very much about the final result. On a side note, it was very well packaged and protected for shipping! I\'m very thankful to be able to add Brea to my collection.

The Clever Princess
I don’t think Brea could have been rendered any better than this. Reaching out in her quest for knowledge and truth no matter who it offends. The delicate colors on her face, clothing and hair are done perfectly. A great character and figure to enjoy especially in these times. Stay inside your library and question everything like Brea!

Just gorgeous!
Brea was a character I’m sad to say I overlooked in the promotional material for AOR. She seemed a bit generic however it didn’t take many episodes for her to completely win me over. And this statue captures her inquisitive intelligence beautifully!
