Emerging from the haunting depths of the Paths of the Dead, this spectral monarch commands a chilling gaze and haunting visage. Every detail, from the intricately sculpted armour adorned with ancient, tarnished symbols to the otherworldly glow in his piercing eyes, speaks of a cursed destiny and unyielding power.
In life, he was a king; in death, he is a legend. Bound by an unbroken oath, he stands as a testament to honour and the dire consequences of broken promises. As material technologies improve, we are able revisit characters and bring more to their interpretation than was previously possible. This is our first time fully utilizing these technologies: completely transparent resins, a skull behind the skin of his face, improved 3D printing techniques… We really felt the need to revisit the King of the Dead and showcase him not just as a physical being, but an ethereal one, much like he appeared on screen.

It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece.
