A particularly cruel and conniving Orc, Grishnákh was the leader of a small troop sent to meet up with Uglúk’s Uruk-hai scouts. Suspicious and greedy, Grishnákh was curious about the Wizard Saruman’s plans for the captive Hobbits Merry and Pippin.

Though his followers were concerned with little other than their grumbling stomachs, the seed of some greater purpose had taken hold in Grishnákh’s mind. When the troop was attacked upon the eaves of Fangorn Forest by Rohirrim horsemen, the scheming Orc sought to use the cover of battle to sneak away with Uglúk’s charges.

Even impaled by a spear, Grishnákh’s ambitions were undaunted. Bent-backed and bow-legged, with black blood seeping from his gruesome wound, he pursued the Hobbits into the twisted woodland intent on murdering them and taking whatever prize they carried for himself.

GRISHNÁKH

Grishnákh is brought to you by master sculptor Jamie Beswarick, an accomplished artist who is one of Weta Workshop's longest-serving crew members, being part of the original Lord of the Rings crew. Grishnákh stands complete in 1:6 scale: weapon raised above his captives, moments before he met his death. This statue is available in a Limited Edition of just 500.

Sculpting collectibles is not a game of golf, it is a marathon. Turning up day after day the sculptor can meddle away at the same square centimetre all day and come in the next day only to do it all again.

Weta Workshop: Celebrating 20 Years of Creativity

Please note: images are of pre-production prototype. Each item is painted by hand and variations will occur.

It takes 400-500 hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.

  1. Orc maggots are always welcome
I\'ll be eating a lot of maggoty bread saving up for this one too.

As a relatively new collector (5years), I’ve missed out on all the old orc scum, and have been wanting some good representatives for the twisted and vile inhabitants of Mordor. I love those guys.
This looks great. Really intense, with the bleak blue eyes and all. You can feel his aggression and perseverance in this statue.
I like the Fangorn forest base as well.

Keep up the good work! You guys never seize to amaze me.

If I may be so bold... Please make a Gorbag or Shagrat next. (maybe with Frodo cocoon)
