Winner of seventeen Academy Awards, The Lord of The Rings was brought to the big screen by New Line Cinema and directed by Peter Jackson. Weta Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and manufacture of physical effects for all three films.

Miniature statue
(W x H x L) 10 cm x 13.1 cm x 10 cm
Weight: 1.089 lbs (0.494 kg)
Principal Sculptor:

Gimli, son of Glóin, was one of the nine members of the fellowship of the Ring, and the only dwarf among its ranks.

During the War of the Ring, Gimli formed part of an unlikely trio of warriors, alongside Legolas the Elf and Aragorn of the Dúnedain. Their skills being surprisingly complementary, they fought alongside each other and overcame many insurmountable odds along their travels.

Gimli accomplished many feats throughout his life, playing an instrumental role in the battle of Helms Deep, the battle at Pelennor Fields and the battle at the Black Gate. As a gift he was granted three strands of hair from the Lady Galadriel, earning himself the name ‘Lockbearer’. He would also earn a lifelong, albeit unlikely, friendship with the Elf Legolas.

  • Made from high quality polystone;
  • 5 inches tall;
  • Depicting Gimli in his classic battle gear;
  • Made with the original film props and costume as reference.

Digitally sculpted by Xi Wen, this incredible Gimli miniature statue will make a stunning addition to your collection of Weta Workshop miniature statues.

The 20th Anniversary of The Lord of The Rings movies has a special significance to us here at the Workshop, and we are delighted to commemorate the upcoming event with a brand-new series of iconic Middle-earth figures. Let the celebrations begin!

Please note: images are of a pre-production prototype. Each sculpture is hand painted and minor variations will occur.

Gimli is an Open Edition piece, meaning it is not restricted to a specific number of reproductions. However, this does not guarantee Wētā Workshop will continue to produce the statue in the future. We recommend purchasing your Open Edition statue early, to avoid disappointment. Should you miss out, please contact us to be placed on the waiting list at support@wetanz.co.nz. Demand will determine if this collectible is reproduced.

It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.

  1. Put him on some box
    Detail on this is absolutely amazing, face and beard look great.
    As usual on minis, he could look higher up, so you don't need to give him box to stand on, and there are no matching Aragorn and Legolas minis.
