Working closely with director Rupert Sanders and his production team, the Workshop helped translate this iconic manga into a reimagined live-action setting, before bringing those concepts to life through more than 3000 prosthetics, animatronics, props, miniatures and specialty costumes.

Hanka Robotics is the world's leading developer of augmentative technology in the world of Ghost in the Shell. Add to your collection of film art with a blueprint of the famous Shelling Sequence, reimagined for a 2017 audience. This striking A2 concept design print has been created by Weta Workshop artist William Bennett.

From the outset, our goal was to tackle this project with a ‘sky’s the limit’ philosophy. As a result, the Workshop has undertaken some of the most challenging and complex work we’ve ever faced. Seeing Rupert and his team bring it all to life – a mere five minutes’ drive away, no less – has been incredible.
