Typically, the streets of Johannesburg were littered with anti-alien signage. Though it’s clear the aliens weren’t cause for concern, the humans were.
Designed by Leri Greer, the same artist who contributed hundreds of pieces of conceptual art to the film.
When it came to signage for District 9, I literally looked up original apartheid signs from that era and deconstructed them, changing the designs to reflect our alien situation.
The sign comes printed on an A4 sized tin sheet. Perfect for target practice with the Arc Generator, if you find yourself in defence mode.
