OUR STORY
For more than 27 years, Weta Workshop has created creatures, characters, and entire worlds for the screen - all from our home in Wellington, New Zealand. For a mammoth seven years, we helped to bring The Lord of the Rings to life, crafting thousands of props, costumes, weapons, armour, and miniatures! We've worked on some of the world's coolest movies like Avatar and King Kong, and even picked up five Academy Awards along the way. We're a busy bunch.
OUR COLLECTIBLES
When The Fellowship of the Ring landed in 2001, we weren't about to let the world of Middle-earth stop at the screen. We set about bringing it to shelves, cabinets, and tabletops across the globe! Channelling all that passion and artistry into beautiful statues, these amazing pieces were designed by the same Weta Workshop artists who work on our film projects. And it is still that way today.

15 years on, fans' insatiable hunger for all things Middle-earth shows no sign of slowing. Which got us here at the Workshop thinking: what else could we do to bring this EPIC world to collectors and film lovers across the globe? The answer: cool and quirky vinyl collectibles, straight from Middle-earth itself. MINI EPICS! Endlessly collectible. Totally adorable. These pint-sized figures have BIG personalities. And we're only just getting started...

Wonderful! But not perfect.Pros: The design of Gandalf Epic Mini is just wonderful, his character is captured so well. Contains a nice amount of detail. Platform included.
Cons: Unfortunately, the figure looks considerably worse than the photos on the Weta shop. Painting on the left had is sloppy and very noticeable being a focal point. Numerous visible seams.
Overall, I am just disappointed when comparing mine to the perfect model used on the shop. Therefore, I think the figure is overpriced for what you actually get. I still recommend these figures for the fantastic designs. -
He arrived precisely when my wife gifted him to me!Such a whimsical, yet august, likeness of every person\'s magical mentor. The painting done was superb, and the sculpt burst with detail and Gandalf seems as though he is just about to impart some deep wisdom...or perhaps to go on, and keep his secrets! Truly, I couldn\'t be any more impressed by this image of our Dear Gandalf the Grey, and am now using him as the inaugural centerpiece of my newest collection of my personal \"Mini Epic\" LoTR set.

4,6 points from meHi, it is very nice piece, but see nimor problems that I found on it. It might help you with decision.
5 points for sculpture.
4.8 ponts for casting, as few barely visible seems lines can be found.
4.2 for coloring as fabric tint is brownish, not toned towards blue as on the web page, and hand holding staff is painted mainly from top (not on sites of the fingers). It is again detail. Bottom of the beard is painted with light brown and do not have proper contrast with trousers.
4 points for how it is glued together. One spot around 3mm of glue is visible and few glosi dots from glue as well.
1 point for delivery as it was expensive, not trackable, and box arrived in 32days slightly damaged. It had to travel around only 1250km in the Europe.
Do not get me wrong. I like this piece very much and I would buy it again, I just hope for better quality control. -
AmazingI currently have all the available mini epic\'s and whilst they are all so good this one just stands out as one of the best. You wont be disappointed.

FRAUDHi! I contact with your company again in less than one month due to a order that didn´t arrive. I ordered in august and the packet left the stores on 24th august. The code is #1062332A. As I said, this is the second message that I send to the company, and I didn´t receive any answer yet.

The bestAfter Gimli, Gandalf stands as the best of the line so far, capturing Ian M\'s likeness while adding the nice touch of the butterfly/moth on his shoulder.

Gandalf Mini EpicGandalf is my favorite of this line of figures thus far! And given that he was the first to sell out at Comic-Con 2018, I feel I\'m not the only one who thinks so. The details are amazing and Ian McKellan\'s likeness is unmistakable!

Good lookingThe vinyl figure looks great, in most but i hate that on my figure o have black unpainted dot on his nose little bit of orange colored stripe and the butterfly isn\'t cut perfectly. Other than that for its price its really well made.

My Favorite of many!Gandalf is the cutest addition to my work desk, beautifully painted and I adore the cartoony quality of him!

The best of the second waveThis is a well done sculpt. Gandalfs expression and beard are impressive. By far he is the best of te second wave of mini epics.

Gandalf indeed!This is a very well realised Gandalf. Though, as with Mini Epics Aragorn, the proportions look a little off next to the exquisite Frodo, Gandalf is imposing enough to make this less noticeable. Lovely detail in the face and beard, robes and hat. His staff is excellent. Good colours overall. He has a great, slightly stern, expression on his face, as if one of the hobbits was misbehaving. Very recognisably Gandalf.
I\'m quite happy with this purchase.
