LURTZ™ vs BOROMIR™

1:6 scale statue - Limited Edition of 100
Dimensions:
(W x H x L) 0 cm x 0 cm x 0 cm
Weight: 0 lbs (0 kg)

Bred in the pits of Orthanc by the Wizard Saruman, Lurtz is a towering Uruk-hai; long-limbed, strong and fearless. Sent to retrieve the Halflings for his master, Lurtz presses his hunters relentlessly.

It is at Amon Hen that his hunt for the Halflings will come to an end.

Resolute before overwhelming odds, Boromir slays many Uruk-hai, but wily Lurtz knows better than to come within range of the swordsman’s blade. Thick-hafted arrows are the weapon of choice.

Called to Rivendell by a dream, Boromir joins the Fellowship of the Ring as a representative of Gondor. With Mordor pressing in upon his people’s borders, the Ring comes ever into Boromir’s thoughts. At Amon Hen, alone with Frodo in the Parth Galen woods, he is overcome and tries to take it by force. Frodo flees and Boromir shakes himself free of the madness that took him, but too late, for the scattered Fellowship is attacked by Uruk-hai.

At Amon Hen the Uruks fall upon the Fellowship. Lurtz spies Merry and Pippin and sends his warriors after them, but meets unexpected resistance when Boromir comes running to the hobbits’ aid. Boromir slays many Uruk-hai, but wily Lurtz knows better than to come within range of the swordsman’s blade, preferring instead to stand off and skewer him with thick-hafted arrows.

Even pierced with arrows, Boromir staggers on, wildly swinging his sword, though his strength ebbs, a valiant son of Gondor to the end.

Immortalise Boromir's final moments at the hands of Lurtz with this Limited Edition pair of 1:6 scale polystone statues. The statues in this edition are numbered #10 - #110. The edition number of your Lurtz statue will match that of your Boromir.

Please note:

Due to the nature of this extremely Limited Edition sculpture set, should you require a replacement (e.g. due to damage in transit) it will not come from within this edition number range.

This to me is Boromir\'s finest hour in which he manages to redeem himself after submitting to the power of the ring and we get to see his true, noble character once he breaks the rings hold!
Add to that the sheer menacing brutality of the huge, semi armoured Uruk Hai Lurtz and this is an awe inspiring pairing of two fiercely determined warriors!
The sculpting, texturing, painting and execution of this pair is Weta on top of their game. Likeness is spot on, detailing is excellent and the whole piece takes you right back to that brutal moment where the mighty Captain of Gondor falls defending the Hobbits.
    Simply stunning!
