Emerging from the haunting depths of the Paths of the Dead, this spectral monarch commands a chilling gaze and haunting visage. Every detail, from the intricately sculpted armour adorned with ancient, tarnished symbols to the otherworldly glow in his piercing eyes, speaks of a cursed destiny and unyielding power.
In life, he was a king; in death, he is a legend. Bound by an unbroken oath, he stands as a testament to honour and the dire consequences of broken promises. As material technologies improve, we are able revisit characters and bring more to their interpretation than was previously possible. This is our first time fully utilizing these technologies: completely transparent resins, a skull behind the skin of his face, improved 3D printing techniques… We really felt the need to revisit the King of the Dead and showcase him not just as a physical being, but an ethereal one, much like he appeared on screen.
Please note: Images are of a pre-production prototype. Each piece is hand painted and some variations may occur.
It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment, or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.

Limited edition King of the DeadI received my King of the Dead with so much excitement. It felt like a long wait as I pre-ordered it in August 2024 and it was delivered in February 2025. I have not one regret about buying him. I am still excited and impressed and pinch myself knowing I own such a spectacular piece. This beautiful statue was packaged to perfection to avoid any damage during the postal process. The box he came in is magnificent. The detail in the statue is impeccable. His face and eyes, well a masterpiece doesn’t describe how amazing the detail is and life like too, not statue like. The flow of his outfit is 10/10 and the base of skulls is pure perfection, they each look slightly different to my eyes. You can see the movement in the piece and can tell it is well crafted. Thank you to Weta Workshop and Fabio Paiva, a great collaboration!

Absolute MasterpieceThere's a reason this sold out quickly. I am so glad I was able to snag a Pre-Order months ago. I just opened my King of the Dead statue from Weta the other day and I am absolutely blown away by this piece. I own quite a few Weta pieces, from LotR to Dark Crystal and the entire Labyrinth collection. I cannot say enough good things about Weta as a whole and this piece specifically shows how talented the artists are and how much quality and care goes into their work. This was packaged so well with a ton of "fragile" stickers all over the wrapping. The delicate pieces were separated appropriately and kept safe and secure in individual styrofoam sections in the packaging. The base is HEAVY and has such an amazing presence due to the many detailed skulls adorning it. Anatomically the skulls are very accurate and the small details in sculpt and color are unmatched from any other pieces I've seen from other studios. The skulls really sold me on this piece and seeing them in person is astounding. The King of the Dead has amazing detail, color, composition and sculpt. Every aspect is clearly scrutinized over and crafted with care. The ethereal green color is nailed and the translucent resin used in various sections highlight the statue immensely and provide a stellar contrast in the entirety of the statue. The sword is weighty and has spectacular weathering and rusting/oxidation. The armor is detailed, even in the smallest sections and has appropriate coloring and aging. The face is impeccable with highlighted teeth and lifelike eyes. It truly looks like the King of the Dead is peering into your soul. How they manage to get so much detail in a 1/6 scale is beyond my comprehension, but Weta NAILS it! This is, so far, my favorite LotR statue and I cannot wait for future releases (such as Radagast in Rhosgobel).

King of the DeadJust got my King of the Dead, and I must say I’m totally amazed. Weta folks you hit this out of the park. Detail of the face and the clothes he wears stunning. The skulls fantastic, just love this piece, glad I ordered it. Weta , rerelease the other statues for newer customers, they will buy.
