Winner of seventeen Academy Awards, The Lord of the Rings was brought to the big screen by New Line Cinema and directed by Peter Jackson. Weta Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films.

THE ONE RING - 10K

Solid Gold with Elvish Runes
Dimensions:
(W x H x L) 0 cm x 0 cm x 0 cm

One Ring to rule them all.

One Ring to find them.

One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

The One Ring created for The Lord of the Rings trilogy was designed and made by Jens Hansen - Gold & Silversmith of Nelson, New Zealand (Middle-earth).

Weta is pleased to be working with Jens Hansen to produce The One Ring in 10K Solid Gold. It's crafted to the exact shape, thickness and proportions of the original movie prop and made from gold, sourced from Middle-earth (New Zealand).

Jens Hansen's reputation as a brilliant ringmaker was one of the main reasons he was approached to make the One Ring for The Lord of the Rings. Today Jens Hansen's son, Halfdan Hansen, continues his father's legacy, and manufactures The One Ring for us.

My father Jens Hansen knew and loved J.R.R. Tolkien’s books, and was very excited when he heard the movies were going to be filmed in New Zealand. Then came a phone call asking if he would make The One Ring. He was thrilled and honoured, as we are to have created the world's most authentic One Ring replica exclusively for Weta, and for you.

Halfdan Hansen – Jens Hansen Gold & Silversmith

This gorgeous piece of jewellery has the famous words in ancient Elvish runes engraved on the inside and outside of the ring, as well as on the beautiful wooden gift box made from natural Walnut timber. The box can be displayed open thanks to an ingenius and almost invisible elastic hinge or closed with a strong rare-earth magnet.

The lid features a The Lord of the Rings logo on the outside and the logos of Weta and Jens Hansen on the inside. The inside bottom of the box is lined with blue velvet.

Like anything made from natural timber, variations in grain and colour will occur and the colour may also change over time. This is an entirely natural process.

WAYS TO WEAR

Wear your One Ring on your finger, or on a Sterling Silver chain - such as Weta's 25 inch (65 cm) long chain upon which Frodo Baggins carried the One Ring in The Lord of the Rings. Also designed by Jens Hansen, this chain, with its unique S-shaped clasp is an exact replica of the chain that features in the close-up shots in the movies.

  1. A dream come true!
    Quality
    100%
This is an amazingly beautiful ring! It is beyond my wildest dreams! The heft to it is incredible, the gorgeous shine and superb craftsmanship are exquisite! I am very happy that I indulged into the 10K version after careful consideration, because I was going to get the silver one first. Absolutely no regrets! I also got Frodo’s chain and I love how it all feels and looks together. This will definitively become my own, my precious! Highly recommended!!

  2. The ONE and ONLY ring you\'ll need!
So quick back story, did the Hobbiton Tour in New Zealand, I\'m from California, so it was quite an experience, anyways me and my wife bought the WETA rings from the gift shop there. (silver for her and tungsten gold plated ring for me) Well upon arriving in Queenstown we saw a jeweler selling real gold ones and we checked them out. They were licensed rings but when I saw the gold ones there, I was super disappointed in them. They were very light in weight, thin and cheap looking. The tungsten gold plated one is rad, don\'t get me wrong. Its heavy, thick and looks like the real thing. I love it, but I really wanted a real gold one. Well I saw this on the website saying \"same size and shape as the real one\" and I was sold because that\'s what I wanted now that I was used to the tungsten gold plated one. Got it and its exactly like stated, thick, same shape and size as my other one. Now I can hang my other ring on the silver chain and wear the 10K one. I love New Zealand and its culture and of course the LOTR movies! Thank you!! Pumped!

  3. Just beautiful
I don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about - it doesn't sound like he has actually seen this ring in person, as the engraving is very fine and detailed, and certainly not 'ugly'. It leaves any other replica I've seen in the dust. It's really heavy and substantial, and I intend to wear it always. It's the most beautiful ring I own, and I feel very lucky to have it. For those who already own the sterling silver version as I do, it is exactly the same as that, just gold.

And AshGL1914, if you're reading this, it costs over a thousand because it's solid gold. Pretty simple.
