Brother of Bofur and cousin to Bifur, Bombur rounds out the Company of Thorin as the Quest’s travelling cook. Broad even for a Dwarf, who as a people tend to be stocky and wide of belly, Bombur has a passion for the preparation and consumption of food. But there is far more to the roly-poly Dwarf than just an appetite and predilection for culinary adventuring.

Bombur may be somewhat innocent in the ways of the world and not as well travelled or experienced as some of his older companions, nor has he ever seen the object of the Quest, the Lonely Mountain they seek to reclaim, but he is brave, doughty and as loyal as he is capable with his ladle – a surprisingly effective weapon when swung like a hammer. A strong and dauntless fighter when pressed, the young Dwarf soon finds he can take care of himself when it most matters, and can put on a surprising turn of speed, but then Dwarves are natural sprinters.

Weta continues the legacy of producing finely crafted, highly detailed 1/6 scale collectible polystone statues from Middle-earth. The essence of each character expertly captured in every piece.

Bombur the Dwarf was sculpted by Scott Spencer and Greg Tozer.

It takes approximately 400-500 hours to design, sculpt, model-make, mould and paint the prototype for each new character.

Sculpted and created by the same artists and craftspeople who work on our movies, Bombur the Dwarf is the sixth sculpture in our range of 1/6 scale characters from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

The following pieces are available in Weta's range of 1/6 scale statues from The Hobbit:

Bombur has always stood out as a memorable character in the book as the poor, put upon larger than life cook of the company of Thorin. WETA have recreated this loveable character in classic form, showing his well detailed girth and in a pose that can't fail to raise a smile every time you look at it :-)
As always, it's the attention to detail that shines through with these pieces. From his little balding pate and large, plaited beard to his outfit and leather sheathed boots, Bombur is going to be hard to budge from the deserved spotlight hogger of any collection!
Highly recommended. Hide.

Well, Bombur was my very first payed and collected item from Weta.... Read more.

Well, Bombur was my very first payed and collected item from Weta. I actually got him on a whim because he was limited edition and from the pictures he looked very well crafted. Well Im VERY glad he was my first! The detail, work and love put into him is crazy! Anyone who is a hobbit collector like myself, REALLY needs him on their shelf. He will not dissapoint!

Bombur has a nice warm place beside my bed. Every time I stare at Bombur he comes to life and starts running across my bedside table. He is certainly an amazing piece of art ((and an amazing character)). I adore him to bits, and so does everyone else in my house. A more then wonderful Item! Hide.
