Disappointed... Where is the extended edition?

As a loyal fan having purchased LOTR multiple times on DVD in all of it's release incarnations, and having put off watching again until I can see it in Blu-ray HD glory, I'm very disappointed to see theatrical release only. Happy to pay whatever the asking price for a Blu-ray Extended Edition set so I can view as Peter Jackson intended, but asking me to buy this and pay yet again for an extended edition Blu-ray at a later date is pushing my fan loyalty too far! :( Hide.

Why did they bother with the theatrical version? They know fans... Read more.
Why did they bother with the theatrical version? They know fans prefer the extended cuts.
Seeing how the format is still so expensive, I'll just have to wait until they box up the extended cuts on Blu-Ray - which, is a bit of a bummer - waiting even longer and all. Hide.
