There's been a very exciting announcement from our friends at Warner Bros. The subject of much speculation among fans since The Hobbit movies were announced three years ago, the titles have now been decided and the launch dates set.
So - get your calendar out and mark these dates:
- The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens 14 December 2012
- The Hobbit: There and Back Again opens 13 December 2013

This follows some exciting recent announcements from Peter Jackson about casting. Orlando Bloom is making a welcome return to Middle-earth as Legolas and Stephen Fry is taking on the role of Master of Laketown.
