When Frodo and his party discover Gandalf is not at Bree to meet them as arranged, their plan to ferry the Ring out of the Shire to safety seems doomed. Five Ringwraiths now dog their trail, but even as the forces of darkness close in about them there is hope.

Watching over them from the shadows is Strider, a grim yet noble Ranger, wanderer and swordsman, and friend to Gandalf the Grey. Under his guidance and protection, the Hobbits are led by secret ways to the scarred hill of Weathertop, where he proves the manner of his mettle, standing fearlessly between Frodo and his five terrifying pursuers.

Our authentic prop replicas and collectibles are designed by the very same artists who have worked on the three films, so effectively they come straight from Middle-earth.

Richard Taylor - CEO & Co-founder, Wētā Workshop

Wētā Workshop's legacy of finely crafted miniature figures from Middle-earth continues with this iconic character. Strider is an Open Edition piece.

It takes 400-500 hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.

Please note: images are of a pre-production prototype. Each sculpture is hand painted and minor variations will occur.

"My brother, my Captain. my King...

Deep muted colours blending into the shadows except for his face - illuminated by the dim light from his pipe. This piece captures beautifully our first glimpse of Strider - the vagabond King. Once I saw it at Weta stand at Supanova Adelaide I just had to have it. Thank you Leonard, Mark, Paul and all for coming and bringing the work of your awesome artisans to show us! This statue partners beautifully with the Arwen statue."

This is a great piece! It really captures Aragorns appearence and mood, particularly when we first see him in the prancing pony!

  11. watching from the corner
this is a great little statue and good value for money. Strider with his pipe looks best next to Gandalf with his pipe, cause it's smokin time >=:)
