Magnificent! Magical! Marvelous! Being an appreciative owner of the three preceding swords -- Anduril, Strider's, and Glamdring -- I can attest first-hand to Peter Lyon consistently setting a swordsmithing standard for quality at the highest humanly attainable order. And yet somehow, evidenced clearly in this fourth item to arrive at my doorstep, Peter Lyon has now hereby surpassed all conceivable levels of Earthly excellence.

Seeing is believing, and to hold it is to know. Sting (the Fine Art Edition) is the absolute manifestation of transcendence in the art of sword craftsmanship.

First impression, immediately out of the crate... what is this? Luxury?!

So finely shaped and beautifully balanced, so pretty and perfectly polished, surely this must be jewelry of an oversized sort. But no... this is no glorified letter-opener, my friends. This is no typical treasure lifted from any ol' troll's lair.

This, I assure you, is nothing short of mithril and magic, mined and made with such lofty Noldorian skill as has not been seen in this world since the ancient fall of Gondolin and the breaking of Beleriand in the First Age when dragons and balrogs were the commonplace scourge of the day. This. Is. Perfection. So here at last the Shire inhabitants may sleep at ease these many nights -- this small but mighty sword will suffer no orc invasion, will fend off all hazard of wolf and spider bites.

Bilbo called it 'Sting', but I (I'll say it again) call it 'Perfection' -- the pinnacle of achievement by Peter Lyon among his Master Swordsmith Collection. The silver-inlaid handle provides exactly the right flourish and finishing touch -- all so very exquisitely well done. Let the quest for gold commence forthwith!

Thank you! Hide.
