The serene Solace in the Wind, stands tall on Wellington's waterfront, facing into the prevailing northerly winds.
A 1:4 scale version of Max Patte's wonderful sculpture is now available directly from Weta.
This fine art statue is made from a special resin containing iron filings, which means this is an ever-changing statue as the raw materials oxidise.
Each order will be crafted by hand in Weta Workshop, and will ship from New Zealand.
Delivery is normally 3-5 weeks from date of order. Please be aware that over Christmas and other holidays and subject to the artist's availability, it may occasionally take longer.

I dont own this sculpture unfortunately, but I was lucky enough to see it at the Weta Cave and its seriously sublime. Had know idea they were available pieces. Beautiful work, wish I had seen the 1:1 sculpture. Hide.
