Gandalf

Bilbo's old friend, an ancient and powerful wizard, Gandalf was a guide to the Fellowship and mentor to Frodo in his quest to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom.

Deep in wisdom and foresight, Gandalf was first to discover the true nature of the ring and took it upon himself to orchestrate the forces of light against the evil advance of Sauron, the dark lord.

Last seen by Frodo and his companions plummeting towards certain death from the Bridge of Khazad-Dûm, entwined in struggle with the Balrog, Gandalf's demise seemed inevitable.

But wizards are remarkably resilient...

Sculpted by Steven Saunders and created by the same artists and craftspeople who work on our movies, Gandalf exists in two versions - the other is exclusively available in person at the Weta Cave.

This Gandalf sculpture made its first public appearance in Weta's 'A Single Dream' video in June 2011.

Captain Haddock - Life Size Statue

Captain Archibald Haddock - a loud, aggressive, sometimes immature sea captain with a creative swearing problem.

"Billions of Blue Blistering Barnacles and Ten Thousand Thundering Typhoons". There is certainly colour in the language of Captain Haddock.

Not exactly the qualities a person would expect in one of Tintin's closest allies. But Haddock more than compensates for his bad habits.

The Life Size Weta statue of Haddock is a 6ft fibreglass statue created from the actual digital model made by Weta Digital for the new movie The Adventures of Tintin, and was finished and prepared by the artists at Weta Workshop.

What you will receive

Your statue comes in a strengthened rigid cardboard box and includes a metal display base. Please note the dimensions at the top of the page are for the assembled statue only. The carton measures 70.5in x 44.5in x 28.8in (179cm x 113cm x 73cm).

Some assembly required

Captain Haddock comes in three pieces with head and base separate. These slot together very easily and without the use of tools.

The image of Tintin and Snowy running in the searchlight was the first released from The Adventures of Tintin and it adorns the cover of our book The Art of The Adventures of Tintin.

The Life Size Weta statue of Tintin & Snowy is created from the actual digital models made by Weta Digital for the new movie The Adventures of Tintin, and was finished and prepared by the artists at Weta Workshop.

Snowy

Snowy - were he a real dog - would be a Wire Fox Terrier. He is Tintin's most loyal companion and has saved the young journalist from more tight spots and dangerous situations than he'd probably care to remember.

Wherever Tintin goes - Snowy goes and Tintin has had plenty of opportunity to reciprocate as Snowy also has a knack for getting into trouble.

He shares his master's spirit of adventure and although he doesn't speak (he is a dog, after all), there is a lot going on in his imagination.

The bond between Snowy and Tintin has grown strong from the many adventures and situations they've encountered together.

Tolkien Calendar 2012 - illustrated by Cor Blok

The Official Tolkien Calendar has become an established publishing event, eagerly looked-forward to by Tolkien fans the world over; there is much demand for the annual calendar, with Tolkien calendars from the past 30 years becoming collectors' items.
