Legend held that the Pass of Cirith Ungol was guarded by a thing of great terror. Even the Orcs of that region held in reverence the foul creature that haunted the only pass through the Mountains of Shadow. For nesting there was Shelob, a remnant of the ancient brood of monstrous spiders of the First Age. Grown bulbous and fat on the sucked juices of countless victims, Shelob wove a silky trap within the tangled passageways of her dark home to ensnare passers-by. Her presence ensured that none could enter Mordor by that perilous way.
This statue has been hand cast in heavy weight polystone and hand painted to the highest standards. The display base has been etched with the map of Middle Earth and also includes the Lord of the Rings logo, the piece name and sculptor's signature. This statue is an authentic replication of the monsterous creation from the film.

But i always have the feeling, when i look at it, that Sam is missing in this scene, fighting against Shelob. Hide.

This overall not my most favourite piece of the line. But my girlfriend doesn't come near it she is so terrified by spiders so Weta must have done a great job making it so life like. Hide.
