2005 saw Weta launch its publishing arm with the intention of carrying the company's reputation for creative excellence onto the printed page. The first book to be produced was The World of Kong, A Natural History of Skull Island, published in conjunction with Pocket Books and tied in with Peter Jackson's King Kong.
