Make sure they don't send you a live one. Hide.

This is actually my second review for this product. I have revised the first to more concisely deal with the Blue Sacked Pillock and hopefully be more useful to a speculative customer.

CASE: 9 out of 10. Better than the cases provided for my actual biological specimens such as a bat and scorpion. Nice Grordbort logo at bottom of frame subtly ties it into the line with elegance and class. The only improvement possible would be a more expensive wood for the framing, but that would demolish the reasonability of the price point.

SCULPT: 10 out of 10. Not ONE single element smacks artificial. It is creepily similar to alien flesh, from the moistly glistening eye-hook to the beauty of its slightly tattered wings. I have no idea how they managed THOSE gems...(cloth?) but it makes an excuse to point out that these pieces are lovingly assembled one by one by the artists at Weta Studios, not mass produced by a factory in China or Mexico. Not that there is anything wrong with that...(ahem), it's just that Weta's way results in a nicer piece.

PAINT: 10 out of 10. Easiest to judge. Flawless.

VALUE: Completely a subjective category, but when considering it, I remember that -like the Blunderbuss - this is one of 50 in the world. As a collector, I like that. 10 out of 10.

OVERALL: 10 out of 10 Hide.

Well, parts of it are blue. There's also green, black and ochre-ish bits (the color ochre, not orc).

Wonderful, most excellent sculpture of this Venusian insect created by Mr. Broadmore, very realistically painted and presented in a very handsome wood shadowbox. I was somewhat dubious about ordering one, being more of the gun collector, but dubious no more. An excellent addition to my Dr. G collection. Thank you, Weta.

And there are less than 50 now as several purchases have been made recently. Don't wait!!! Hide.
