When Elendil led the Last Alliance with Gil-galad, and died in the Siege of Barad-dûr, his men bore the insignia of the White Tree of Númenor, a later ancestor of which was the White Tree of Minas Tirith. These men were the Gondorians of the Second Age.

You will have seen this shield in the prologue of The Lord Of The Rings - The Fellowship Of The Ring. This is an exact miniature version of the actual prop Weta made for The Lord Of The Rings, made by the same artists and craftsmen who made the original.

Made from metal, these shields can be worn as a badge or be displayed on the stand.

A note on dimensions: The above sizes are of the shield on its base. The actual shield is about 9 cm high and 4 cm wide. The box it comes in is 15 x 8 x 5 cm.

Not such if conversion is off or what but by my measurements it is 3 3/8'' x 1 1/2'' for the shield and the stand is 4 1/2'' x 2 5/8'' x 1 1/2''. looks neat still, but I when I was expecting a almost 6 inch sheild it is pretty disappointing. Hide.

I guess I was fortunate that I got to preview the shields at last summer's Comic Con in San Diego, so I knew in advance what the real dimensions were going to be (I actually never looked at the dimensions listed on the website until I saw others comment on them). I knew it was small with a pin back, and if it were bigger, it would be to big to be a pin. I thought it seemed very well made, and the the display stand is well-designed for it. I do agree that the little stars seem a bit sloppy, but the rest of the detailing on the tree was fantastic. Hide.
