This luxurious woollen scarf is an exact replica of the scarf worn by Gandalf the Grey in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and created by Stansborough who made the original item for the costume department.

The special lustrous natural grey fibres and yarns were originally conceived by Stansborough for The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and features in the very popular Hobbit Scarf, also available from Weta.

The Magical Scarf of Gandalf the Grey has also got added threads of 'mithril' (fine metallic thread) woven into the fabric to make it shine like moonlit silver.

The sheep from which the wool was shorn are known as Stansborough Grey - now a unique registered breed with historical connections to breeds kept by the Vikings in Scandinavia. The wool is then traditionally woven on historic looms dating back to the 1890's, right here in Middle-earth (New Zealand).

This garment is totally pure, natural and chemical free and made to the highest quality to enjoy for many years to come.

The scarf comes stylishly presented in a cardboard box, with tissue, authentic Hobbit Hang Tag, The Stansborough story and a Scroll.
