It’s Awards season - Critics’ Choice

On the 15th of January, the annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards were presented.

Richard Taylor and the team at Weta Workshop have been recognized for their work on District 9 as the Critics Choice awarded District 9 Best Makeup. We're thrilled by this and very proud that all the hard work by Weta's artists and craftspeople has been recognised by fans and critics alike.

District 9 was also a nominee in the Best Visual Effects category, but here the honour was scooped home by Avatar. So we're not shedding too many tears over that.

Avatar also took out the Best Editing, Best Action Movie, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction and Best Sound.

The Lovely Bones was honoured with a Best Young Actor/Actress award for Saoirse Ronan.
