Carlos Slater, who you may have met working behind the counter in the Weta Cave is obviously very disappointed that he's not allowed to enter the Raygun Shootout competition.
So we thought we'd show off some of his creations in a hope to inspire more people to enter this month's competition to design a 1920's rocket ship.
Now, of course, as Carlos lives in Wellington and worked at Weta Workshop on making props for Avatar, we're guessing the main prize of a trip to New Zealand and meeting Greg Broadmore and Richard Taylor might not hold the same allure. He's naturally met them once or twice already...
The two models we're showing are taken from the universe of Dr Grordbort's. Lord Cockswain's Endangerer and the Falconer 6000. Both featuring in the books, VICTORY and Dr Grordbort's Contrapulatronic Dingus Directory.
Nice one, Carlos!
