I only bought this and the Sycorax helmet as they were on offer, and because I was getting the others anyway, and it is my least favourite of all the Dr Who helmets. The detail of this helmet is really good, with all the vents, filters, flanges and what-not. The paint job is less well done that in the photos, more matt and less metallic looking. For this reason, apart from weight and strength, the piece does not gain anything in being made from metal, as it is all painted, even though it should suit being made of metal. It is a very nice sculpt by Dave Tremont of Dr Grordbort's fame, let down slightly by a disappointing paint job. It also doesn't sit on the stand very well, with the nose stopping the helmet from sitting level, and both the nose and the inside of the helmet are getting scratched. Worth getting for completists, or at a reduced price. Hide.

"42" might be my favorite episode of the 2007 Who season. The miniature wielding mask is exactly how you see it in the episode. Only four stars as I think the base is a bit dominant in this piece. Hide.
