WETA BUG SCOOP: 18 Sept 07 I can finally reveal that we have been working on artwork for Medieval by Radical Publishing!

The design team at Weta Workshop were thrilled to be asked to create concept imagery for Blatant Pictures / Radical Publishing?s graphic novel and film project, titled ?Medieval?.

This piece, by Greg Broadmore, details the seven heroes of the Medieval story, charging into battle. Greg explains: "Grim and determined. They are a rag tag assortment of mercenaries and soldiers, picked up by Ruric on his travels. The team wanted these guys to be some seriously hard looking brutes, ready to fight and die if need be. I think this final version nailed it and I was happy to get the chance to push myself."

The Medieval concept was conceived as both a graphic novel and a script. We were told to ?imagine the Wild Bunch meets the Seven Samurai in the 11th Century? as inspirations for our designs on this project. It sounded fun and it was!

Radical Publishing publicly revealed these designs at the 2007 San Diego Comic Convention - and now we can show you our work! Keep posted to the website for regular updates.
