18 Sept 07 WETA BUG REPORTS: The Weta crew had a blast at the launch of Champ The Chopper, at the LifeFlight Trust Rescue Helicopter hangar at the weekend.

Richard Taylor opened the celebrations in front of an audience of over 300 children and Champ The Chopper supporters at the LifeFlight Centre on Saturday afternoon.

Kids were entertained with a Champ colouring in competition, sausage sizzle and ... a helicopter! Just like in the book. Kids streamed in and out of the Heli, with a few wee ones even playing pilot!

Weta Designers Chris Guise and Daniel Falconer were on hand to sign books after the speeches alongside Rebekah.
