5 Sept 07 Senior Prosthetics Supervisor Gino Acevedo demonstrates his special effects skills for television crew, and we have the pix!

Gino invited the TV3 crew in to see how he creates prosthetics for films such as The Lord Of The Rings and King Kong, shortly before giving a special workshop at TheNewDowse gallery.

Weta Workshop crew member Mike Wallace agreed to model for Gino - and barely recognised himself once Gino was done with his face!

TheNewDowse currently has the King Kong exhibition showing, including selections from the films archives and creatures that Gino worked on himself. To see this process being unraveled, watch the TV3 video here.
