WETA BUG REPORTS: 27 July 07 I've just experienced my first full day of Comic Con - WHOA! Today it was oodles of people, cute kids and lots of cool costumes...

It was like seeing double at one point! Two Doctors from the Classic Doctor Who series turned up dying to see what the new Doctor Who pieces were! There were in complete outfits, with just the right accents and an awesome attitude.

One of them, dressed as Actor Tom Baker, wore a replica scarf of the Doctor (did I mention it is 30 degrees here in San Diego!?) We've revealed two pieces from the Doctor Who series, check it out!

This morning, creator of Dr Grordbort's world, Greg Broadmore was greeted by a steampunk fan, who had fashioned this unique face piece by himself - it was a little hard to hear what he was saying, but it sure did look amazing! Greg told punters about the upcoming Weta Publishing release ... but more on that later! ;-)

The statue of Lord Cockswain and Moon Mistress had television and web cameras going for gold, with Greg and I holding lots of fun interviews explaining what the Rayguns back story is... in fact, lots of punters asked if Moon Mistress was real! Check out this amazing Weta effort, below:

Kids and their parents were out in force today in the COOLEST outfits ever! I was a little jealous, truth be told. There was mini WonderWoman, baby Crocodile, the Star Trek toddlers, and this little one who decided to be a temporary Weta Bug for the day - complete with antennae!

And best of all, the Weta Limited booth (#2016) received baked goods twice today - WHOHOO! A forum fan overheard me saying I wanted to see what American cupcakes looked like and lo and behold he delivered THREE boxes of 20 cupcakes to the Weta stall! A huge thanks to the wonderful 'Plasticine' from the Weta Forum - you rock!

Another couple brought over homemade cookies for the Weta Crew - we couldn't believe our eyes - and how hungry we were - thanks guys!
