Ever wanted to lead an army? Or just pretend for a day that you were King Theoden from LOTR? Well, lucky you because I can reveal that soon you will be able to re-live the trilogy in a new documentary coming out later this year, called ?Reclaiming The Blade?.

Just last week, the crew from RTB popped into the Workshop to talk to Richard and our Senior Swordsmith, Peter Lyon about the making of the weapons for the LOTR trilogy, The Last Samurai and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

The doco will feature heaps of material on martial arts and theatrical swordplay, and will be narrated by LOTR?s very own Gimli (aka John Rhys-Davies)! Not only that, there?ll be Hollywood sword master, Bob Anderson (Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean), conceptual designer John Howe (LOTR, The Chronicles of Narnia) and experts from both the Royal Armouries and Guild Hall School of Music and Drama.

And with a soundtrack by alt rockers Wilco, The Dandy Warhol?s, The Doves and Sigur Ros, it?s shaping up to be a very rad doco indeed.

I checked in with the crew earlier this week who confirmed that they are currently wrapping up interviews with a group of A-list actors and are in the post-production process.
