It's all about the music, baby. Weta Bug finds The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe has been nominated for two Awards at the 49th Annual Grammys?!

You've gotta love award ceremonies. Red carpet, stars, and fabulous gowns - well, it's enough to make a grown bug blush. The nominations for the 49th Annual GRAMMY? Awards were announced this morning by The Recording Academy? at The Music Box @ Fonda in Hollywood, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe has been nominated for two Grammy? Awards!

The who's who of the music biz were there - hip hop stars Mary J. Blige and Ludacris, romance crooner James Blunt, comedian Chris Brown, Evanescence's rocking front woman Amy Lee, 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy' Justin Timberlake, and brit songstress KT Tunstall as well as all the international media you could throw a record at.

Ooh ooh and the bestest bit? The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe received two nominations, for Best Score Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture and Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media!

So, here's the deal. LWW composer Harry Gregson-Williams (pictured above) will be competing alongside Hans Zimmer for The Da Vinci Code and Pirates Of The Caribbean 'Dead Man's Chest', John Williams for Memoirs Of A Geisha and Munich for the Best Soundtrack album award.

Songwriter Imogen Heap has been nominated for 'Can't Take It In' from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, and she'll be competing against Melissa Etheridge's 'I Need To Wake Up' (from An Inconvenient Truth), Randy Newman and James Taylor's 'Our Town?' (from Cars) Mel Brooks, Nathan Lane & Matthew Broderick's 'There's Nothing Like A Show On Broadway' (from The Producers starring Uma Thurman) and Dolly Parton's 'Travelin Thru' (from Transamerica).

Here's what THE President of The Recording Academy had to say: "These nominations truly reflect a diverse and vibrant community of music makers and creators who represent some of the most remarkable music of the year," said Neil Portnow. "Once again, the GRAMMY Awards process has delivered a well-rounded group of excellent nominees, which promises music lovers a spectacular show filled with dynamic performances and "GRAMMY Moments" that can only be seen on the GRAMMY Awards telecast."

Couldn't have said it better myself. Now I've just got to get a pass to the event (Feb 11 in LA) and most importantly, what will I wear!?
