Kong Collectibles @ Weta NZ

In 2005, Weta joined director Peter Jackson in his dream of bringing King Kong back to the big screen for a new generation of moviegoers to enjoy. Still an inspiration to legions of effects artists decades on, the classic 1930s King Kong had lived in the hearts and imaginations of Weta's crew for so long that the project held a kind of hallowed reverence and love. Weta Workshop designed creatures and cultures and built miniatures, while Weta Digital breathed life into the world'sfabulous inhabitants with some of the most stunning visual effects work yet seen. Weta Collectibles produced a huge range of magnificent statues and Weta Publishing launched with its first book, The World of Kong, exploring Skull Island's wildlife.
