Weta Workshop was tasked with initiating design work on Aslan for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The process began with drawings but progressed quickly to sculptures and eventually culminated in the creation of a neutrally posed scannable maquette to serve as reference for the digital artists at Rhythym & Hues, who produced the final computer generated Aslan seen in the film.
On The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Weta Workshop was tasked with designing a myriad of different species to inhabit the world of Narnia. A huge number of ideas were pitched, with the director choosing his favourites from the throng. Along the way, some were discarded, while others evolved into the versions seen in the film.

We are thrilled to unveil the second piece in our range of statues for Disney’s The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
This is an impressive bust of a Minotaur in battle, measuring 38 cm in height. Designed as a high end collectible by Weta artist Stephen Crowe, who also designed armour and weaponry for the film and sculpted by Weta veteran Jamie Beswarick.

The first in a series of six helmets from Doctor Who, exclusively available from the Weta website and at selected shows. It will start shipping in July/August from our local warehouses in the UK, US and New Zealand.
