Sculptor and designer Greg Tozer has always loved movies. Ever since he was little, he wanted to get involved in making films, and for the last nine years, he has been doing just that here at Weta Workshop.
Like many of the Sculptors here at the Workshop, Greg is a self taught artist, with the majority of his training being completed on site here at Weta. He is proof that if you have a passion and you work hard, anything is achievable. He has put his passion for making movies to great use, working on Perfect Strangers, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, King Kong, Black sheep, the Wellington Zoo installation and many others which are under wraps.
Greg says a particular highlight was working on The Lord Of The Rings trilogy because he really enjoys reading J.R.R Tolkien's work.
Greg has also worked on a number of pieces from the Weta Collectible merchandising range, including one of the most popular pieces from The Chronicles of Narnia range, Girls On Alsan, but says his favourite piece is the V Rex Skull sculpture from the King Kong range.
