Aslan the great Lion sang the creation of Narnia long ago. He embodies all that is just and good. Mingled in his deep growl are the soothing voices of compassion and love and the earth-shaking rumble of righteous wrath.
Long has it been rumoured among the faithful that someday Aslan would return. Indeed, prophesy holds that his coming will be heralded by the arrival in Narnia of the sons of Adam and the daughters of Eve. His return will spell the end of winter and spring will restore life once more to the frozen land.

This is one of my favorite statues, being that it is so beautiful to behold. The likeness of the girls is dead on, and Aslan looks great too.

The girls are the real majesties of this piece. From the likeness and the captured happiness, to the oh so fine detail and colour of the costumes which is way up on the fine art scale.
Aslan is Aslan. A big, majestic lion so needed maybe a bit more toning to his colouring too bring him out even more, but that is a minor on this piece. Great centre piece to a great line of figures. Hide.
