Gibberite [j'ib-er-ite] is a very rare mineral found on the Ice Planetoids drifting along the Heliopause on the outer rim of the Solar System.

It is very expensive to travel this far out and so only a few have done it and that was in the time of expansion when humans were looking for new places to colonise and new resources. The costly war efforts, much closer to home, has curtailed further exploration of these regions - for the moment. So the few samples brought back by the early explorers are all that exists, on earth, and are very valuable indeed.

Gibberite excited the scientists because of its ability to pull the energy stream into a more coherent beam. It does not increase power but makes it more efficient by eliminating the normal scatter.

This increases range and gives the weapon a greater penetrating sting.

The Mongoose Gibberite (as it has come to be known) has entered the market due to rather unfortunate circumstances.

Lord Bronn Wothrothrington of Absentia - the very wealthy fridge magnate and weapons manufacturer acquired a few samples of Gibberite and had them built into a Mongoose as a very unique gift for his wife - Lady Mildred Wothrothrington - Lady Mildred loved this unique Mongoose and it would travel with them for years on expeditions and hunting trips all round the inner solar system, it bagged many a fine specimen for the Wothrothrington collection.

On one unfortunate drunken evening when the Wothrothrington's were entertaining guests, for dinner, Lady Mildred, while showing off the weapon, accidently fired it killing twenty five guest, including Lord Bronn, with one blast. Needless to say, this incident was rather embarrassing and Lady Mildred decided that she did not want the Mongoose Gibberite anymore and has put it on the market.

So this is your opportunity to own a very unique piece with the added bonus of having a bloody history.

Hand made at Weta Workshop by Senior Modelmaker David Tremont, this gun is unique. There will never be another quite like it. A Dr Grordbort's Victorious Mongoose 1902a Concealable Ray Pistol, customised in Dave's workshop. There is only one. And it can be yours.

It comes in the same case and with all the accoutrements of a standard Victorious Mongoose.

Freight costs will be confirmed when we contact you for payment. As a guide, freight via FedEx to the United States is approximately US$130, to the UK GBP90, to Western Europe EUR100 and to Australia AU$50. Gibberite will ship directly from Weta Workshop in New Zealand and any Import Duties and Taxes due are the responsibility of the Purchaser. Orders with a New Zealand shipping address are subject to GST.
