Carved into the living green stone of the Lonely Mountain's flank, the grand front gate of Erebor stood like a monument, proclaiming the power and skill of the Dwarves.
Impenetrable and proud, the great wall of hewn stone made a fortress of the mountainside, protecting the prosperous Dwarven city and the vast treasure of King Thror that it held.
Peaceful and plentiful were the days of Durin's folk in those times, before rumour of the wealth of the Dwarves crept north; before the sky grew dark; before the coming of the hot wind.
Weta's legacy of finely crafted miniatures from Middle-earth continues with this iconic piece from the first movie: Erebor, the way it looked before Smaug smote ruin on the mountain kingdom.
Our authentic prop replicas and collectibles are designed by the very same artists who have worked on the three films, so effectively they come straight from Middle-earth.
The Front Gate to Erebor is an Open Edition piece, based on the set featured in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. It was built by a team of the same artists and craftspeople who work on our movies, led by Senior Modelmaker David Tremont and Leonard Ellis.
Please note: This miniature environment was designed and prototyped here at the Workshop. Images are of a pre-production prototype. Each environment is painted by hand and slight variations will occur.

I have to say I was expecting something special when I bought this environment but when it arrived I was blown away with the detail and the size of it! The photos don't do it justice. I've tended to go for the staffs and prop weapons but this item has made me seriously think of going for the other environments in the collection. Well done Weta!!!"

Wish I had something bad to say(;Just so folks would know, maybe, that it's an HONEST review. I don't put up with "stuff" from companies and have no problem demanding a return at need. Except this environment is everything the image promises in hand. It's just - awesome. The colors, the details. Not huge but IMO that's great, fits perfectly on shelf. It's heavy. It just brings home how spectacular the movie vision for Erebor really is. IMO any fantasy movie or book lover would like this. I look at this and can hear the music from the movies re the dwarves - great job, WETA (:

Worth every cent.This environment has to be the best piece you can get for price at Weta. Stunning from top to bottom, it has a feeling both magnificent and ominous, and is more than enough to count as a worthy centerpiece to your hobbit environment collection. As full and impressive as it is, the base takes up so little space. Highly recommend!

Stunningly GorgeousI love this environment. I was very excited about getting Erebor and weta has done incredible work in this design. I hope to see something with inside the mountain or possibly even the city of Dale. I highly recommend this item for any Hobbit fan
