Huzzah! My replacement F.M.O.M. arrived today, and the old broken one whisked off by one of Dr Grordbort's minions. Execellent customer service from Weta - replaced within a week at no cost to my good self.

I now have a fully functioning Compressed Inverse Aether Phial, and my pointy end is once more fully replete with balls! I have already singed considerable amounts of hair just tuning the frequency, and am now the proud possessor of half a slightly smouldering Ottoman! I suggest other owners NOT to learn how to use the beautiful but dangerous weapon in the front parlour.

Of course, the actual ray gun is beautiful, tastefully corroded and worn, the copper piping even coloured with suitable green corrosion. The phial is less blue that in the prototypes (someone been diluting the aether, eh?), and the other little glass gauge has a yellow colour, and the balls on the end of the thin prongs actually have more detail, and a hemispherical shape. My only small whinge is regarding the pressure gauge, which as on the prototype, is just painted metal - a shame a real small gauge could not be used here, as on the Mongoose, and it seems on the Pearce.

The case is beautiful, and works very well as a display stand although it is surprisingly big! The gun comes with a tuning fork, for tuning the gun to optimum operating frequency of 523 Hz apparently, and some other doodah whose purpose I have not divined yet. Even the inner cardboard box is a specially printed F.M.O.M. box, with the limited edition number on it.

A wonderful ray gun, and I see there are only 20 left now! If your are undecided, I recommend that your buy it while you have the chance. Just one thing - what does F.M.O.M. stand for?

I had my first Raygun arrive today. I ordered it on Thursday and just a few days later it arrived.

Packaging is amazing. A box within a box within a box within a box. Opening it was as exciting as it was daunting.

The piece itself is heavy and feels great in your hand. The small wires and bits on it give it an authentic and high quality feel.

Well worth the purchase. Don't miss out! Hide.

Having at last held this beauty in my hands, it plain to see why it's the first Raygun to nearly sell out. There's a classic sci-fi elegance here, as if this weapon were actually wielded by the likes of Ming or Professor Smith. Well worth the money spent. Get it now. Hide.

A fin that gives this gun the look of a shark, it also makes you like your shooting fast even if you're not. For those who like sticky out bits and antennas there is a plethora of them on this excellent weapon, the longest of the series so far.

An excellent choice for those deciding to start collecting. And yes there are only 50 left of the edition, possibly less now, so move quickly to procure your weapon and avoid future regret and heartache at having to spend many more times this if any should come up for sale. Hide.
