The youngest son of Lord Denethor, Steward of Gondor, Faramir is brother to Boromir, who died defending Merry and Pippin upon the slopes of Amon Hen.

Though loved by his elder sibling, Faramir earns little affection from his father, who rules the realm while its kingly bloodline remains lost. A man of honour and duty, Faramir leads the city of Minas Tirith's rangers, charged with defending the outlands of the realm from incursion by Orcs and other servants of the Dark Lord to their east.

When chance delivers Frodo Baggins, bearer of the One Ring, into Faramir's custody, the young captain is presented with the chance to finally prove his worth to his father. The fate of the Ring of Power in his hands, Faramir must face the choice that claimed his brother's life: risking fate to let this mighty weapon pass from his possession, or to take it by force and deliver it to Lord Denethor - an act that would surely settle any question of his quality in his father's esteem.

Daniel Falconer discusses the auction lots.

Our authentic prop replicas and collectibles are designed by the very same artists who have worked on the three films, so effectively they come straight from Middle-earth.

Please note: images are of a pre-production prototype. Each sculpture is hand painted and minor variations will occur.

Weta Workshop’s high-quality Middle-earth collectibles are designed by the very same artists and technicians who work on our movies. It takes 400-500 hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work.

  3. Excellent with one flaw
I love Faramir, I think he is one of those unsung heroes who doesn\'t expect any reward or acknowledgement, but deserves them nonetheless. The coloring, pose and overall sculpting are perfect. The scene chosen was wonderful. My only issue has to do with his foot with the peg. It does not fit completely into the hole, causing it to look like it is floating in the air. Overall, a beautifully made statue, but with one design flaw.

  6. worth the wait
I have waited years for one of my favorite characters to finally be represented in statue form by Weta's amazing artists. The final result did not disappoint! I love the pose and how closely it resembles the actor. Thank you! (And thank you for listening to the fans who requested Faramir to be brought to life!)

  7. Faramir
It took forever for Weta to come out with this magnificent statue, and it was well worth the wait. I think this was one of the most accurate depictions of a LOTR's character that I've ever seen. Thank you so much, I love it.

  9. Truly fantastic
I have loved Faramir since I first picked up the books and WETA has not disappointed with this piece.

The attention to detail is beautiful and every time I look at him there is something new to marvel at. I absolutely agree with the other reviewers - the likeness to David Wenham and the capturing of mood is exceptional. Thank you Brigitte for creating him for us.

  10. So Realistic
This statue of Faramir is one of the best by far! The face is David Wenhams exactly and every nuance and detail captures the mood of Faramir's character - brooding, pensive, reflective and with a strength of character. The pose is magnificent and it sits beautifully once in place. If you buy only a few pieces from WETA's hobbit/LOTR line this is a must have.
