Everybody loves Solace

Weta sculptor Max Patte has created one of Wellington's best loved public sculptures. It was installed on the waterfront near Te Papa in February and has recently claimed two public choice awards.

Selected in Capital Times' August readers' survey as "Best Sculpture", it will this week be crowned in the CivicTrust Awards.

The much talked-about sculpture, which on the waterfront is a full scale statue, is available to admirers in a smaller version, such as might look good on a sideboard or a mantel. A must for any Wellington art aficionado.
