There was a Message of Peace from the Future!
And one particularly ravenous fan couldn't help making a frantic grab for the one District 9 Exosuit on display !!!
Thank you again to everyone who came to see us at Comic Con.
Bring on 2012!
Wow, what a show! The Weta crew have just arrived back in New Zealand this morning after their 10 day trip to Comic Con; exhausted, sleep deprived but very satisfied.
We really enjoyed meeting the wonderful people who came to visit us at our booth. It's so motivating for our artists to get to know you all and hear your feedback first hand. Thank you to you all.
There were many highlights during the show :
Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson held a panel and presented footage of The Adventures of Tintin, with a guest appearance from Andy Serkis. One fan even got to meet them on stage.
Theonering.net held a great fan panel to discuss The Hobbit, hosted by Quickbeam and Mr Cere, with a guest appearance by Weta Workshop's Daniel Falconer.
Weta revealed more new pieces in The Adventures of Tintin range of collectibles. Andy Serkis (Captain Haddock) kindly visited our booth to check out our Captain Haddock statue in person!
Dr Grordbort's teamed up with the Team Fortress 2 online game, and 25,000 flyers were snapped up to get a free in game Righteous Bison.
The new Saboteur 66 sold out in the first 2 days. Check out pics of the Dr Grordbort's display
Our new books got great feedback from our customers: The Weta Collectors Guide, White Cloud Worlds, The Art of District 9 and our stocks were all snapped up. You can also order from our website. Thank you!
New The Lord of the Rings pieces were displayed for the first time; Orthanc, Rivendell and Gandalf. Check out the pics taken by Charles Song from the Shadow and Flame here

What! You didn't post the picture of me and my son Julian? Don't you know who I think I am?!!!
Seriously, I loved the booth, great to see you again. I love the Dr Grorbot's ammo bag and the LOTR shield pins we bought. Julian loves the patch too...from District 9. That will make it on his uniform.
Can't wait til next year!
